HSBC’s ambition in Europe is to build a simpler and more efficient bank, connected to our global network. In line with this strategy, HSBC France will change its name to become HSBC Continental Europe on the 1st December 2020, subject to regulatory and shareholders’ agreements.
As a result, the legal name of our branch will then change from HSBC France, Athens Branch to HSBC Continental Europe, Greece.
Why we are making this change?
Our integrated Continental European bank will help us better serve our clients, simplifying our organisation and making it more effective. The change offers our clients a name that better reflects our business, which is focused on providing access for the Group’s global clients to the region, and serving as a gateway to key international markets for our European clients.
What will change?
As of the 1st December 2020, here is what will change:
- Our legal name will change from HSBC France, Athens Branch to HSBC Continental Europe, Greece.
- The legal name of HSBC France will change to HSBC Continental Europe.
- The address of the headquarters in France will change from 103 avenue des Champs–Elysées to 38 avenue Kléber, 75116 Paris.
We are in the process of filing those changes with the competent local authorities in accordance with local laws and regulations.
What will not change?
You will continue to receive the same service from the same entity and existing relationship, as well as your day-to-day interactions with HSBC will not change:
- The same contact persons and notice details will remain valid.
- The address of HSBC Continental Europe, Greece remains 109-111 Messoghion Avenue, 11526 Athens, Greece.
- This name change will not alter any contracts or agreements which you have with HSBC.
As of 1st December 2020 you will be serviced by HSBC Continental Europe, Greece in the same way as you were serviced by HSBC France, Athens Branch.
